All race organisers are to read the notes below before submitting a race request for 2010:-

1. Race Sanctioning Fees 2010
Club organised races:
Races run by Triathlon Ireland affiliated clubs for the benefit of a triathlon club and the development and promotion of triathlon, duathlon and aquathon:

€150 race permit fee + €1 for every extra competitor over 150 competitors ie. if you have 200 competitors, the total race sanctioning fee will be €150 + €50.

Commercial races:
Non triathlon club races, commercial organisations, incorporated entities, councils, and charities:

€400 race permit fee + €1 for every extra competitor over 150 competitors ie. if you have 200 competitors, the total race sanctioning fee will be €400 + €50

Triathlon Ireland will have the final decision in categorising a race.

All races will be invoiced for the permit fee once they have been allocated a race date. Races over 150 competitors will be invoiced for the balance (extra competitor fee) after the race date.

2. Final Calendar
The race calendar for 2010 will be finalised on 15th November 2009 and made public on 16th November 2009. Any date changes after the 15th November will be made at the discretion of Triathlon Ireland.

3. Race Contract
All races will be required to sign a race contract. Further details of this will be sent out by the end of November.

4. One Day Licences
All one day licences will be collected online through the Triathlon Ireland online system. No races will be collecting one day licences on the day in 2010.

5. Open Water Swims
All races in which the swim is held in open water, must NOT take entries on the race day. Last entry must be taken before midnight the night before the race.

6. Race Requests
Race requests for 2010 have now closed. This applies to all standard races but allowance MAY be made for specific events which meet the needs of target groups, especially those providing opportunities for children. Each late application claiming special status will be assessed and require approval from the board.
