How to Become a Motorcycle Official
The primary aim of the Motorcycle Official is SAFETY. Whilst officiating on the cycle section of any race, great care must be exercised to ensure the safety of all competitors.
The Motorcycle Official's role includes observation of competitors, detection of infringements and imposition of penalties as well as identification and remedial action where necessary of any hazards that may develop as the event progresses.

Standard: 80 miles / 130km
Middle: 130 miles / 210km

You don't need to be trained, we can arrange this for you.
We run training courses throughout the year based on demand. The course is designed to inform motorcyclists about triathlon, introduce them to the rules of the sport with particular focus on the cycling disciple, safety and how to impose penalties for rules breaches. The course also provides an introduction to advanced motorcycling and the "System of Motorcycle Control" used by all advanced riders and Class ! police motorcyclists. All tutors are fully accredited RoSPA Advanced Instructors.
