The provisional date for the 2012 AGM for Irish Triathlon Association Ltd (Triathlon Ireland) will be Saturday 24th March 2012 commencing at 2pm. The venue for the AGM is Jurys Inn Custom House Quay, Dublin.
The AGM is your chance to engage with other members, and the staff and key stakeholders of Triathlon Ireland and provide your input into the running of the organisation. The agenda will comprise the approval of the minutes of the last Annual General Meeting, report presentations from the current officers of the Board, elections of officers, and the presentation of the financial statements of the organisation for the 2011 year. Formal notification with full agenda will be made in early March, 21 days prior to the meeting as prescribed in the Ti Constitution.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
As per the Constitution, the positions of Treasurer, Connaught representative and Leinster representative will be up for election. As the current Ulster representative was co-opted since the last AGM, this position will also be advertised for election. Nomination forms for these roles will be forwarded along with formal notification in early March.
47. Officers shall be elected by a simple majority of the Voting Members in general meeting. Branch Directors and Officers shall have a term of office of two years with the Secretary General and branch officers for Ulster and Munster rotated on the same two yearly terms as the President, and the Treasurer and branch officers for Connaught and Leinster rotated at the AGM in the second and fourth years following the Olympic Games.
