Coaches

A key component in the Triathlon Ireland High Performance System is the provision of coaching specific to the development stage of each athlete. The high performance coaching network comprises the following coaches:

High Performance Coaches

 

CHRIS JONES, Performance Director (P/T)

 

Reports to the CEO Triathlon Ireland

Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of performance, implementation of national and regional coaching structure.

TOMMY EVANS, Lead Cycling Coach (P/T)

 

Reports to the Performance Director

Responsibilities:

Design of all senior elite athletes cycling programmes, coordination and management of youth and junior talent programme in Northern Ireland.

ELENA MASLOVA, Assistant Coach (P/T)

 

Reports to the Performance Director

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the delivery of the national talent programme across Ireland, mentoring and developing our national regional network.

Stephen Delaney - Leinster Region

Lynne Algar - Limerick Region

Stephan Teeling-Lynch - Limerick Region

 

Regional Coaches

Report directly to Assistant Coach & Performance Director

 

Responsibilities:

It is the responsibility of all regional coaches to implement their regional coaching days with the junior talent squad athlete in their region - one day per month.

Including programme design, continued talent identification, and coaching support.

 

Booking of facilities, venues and  dates.
All information to be sent to Triathlon Ireland administration one month prior to the planned regional day. The date must be agreed prior to any further bookings.

 

 

It is the responsibility of all regional coaches to ensure a parental permission form is completed by the parent of the athlete & returned to the regional coach in prior to each training day/camp.
